Genesis

An NFT Collection by Contemporary Bedouin

A poetic relic from the digital desert.

“I created GENESIS as an act of defiance. These words—blunt, honest, inherited, and feared—have followed me all my life. Some are daggers. Some are whispers. Some are shields.
This collection is my offering: to remember what we hide, and to immortalize what we endure.”

– Ahmed Al Enezi | Contemporary Bedouin

What is GENESIS?

“The word is eternal. Even when it trembles.”

Genesis is the inaugural NFT series by Contemporary Bedouin, artist Ahmed Al Enezi’s alter ego and conceptual identity. This collection explores the sacred power of the Arabic word—not as language, but as memory, fracture, and force.

Each artwork in Genesis begins as a digital Arabic phrase, generated and manipulated with deliberate phonetic and typographic errors. These “mistakes” are not algorithmic flaws—they are poetic wounds. They express the artist’s tension between conviction and doubt, power and hesitation, justice and mercy.
To speak with certainty, but also humility.

Each piece is one-of-one—never to be replicated, never part of a series.

The visual signature is rooted in Ahmed’s broader artistic practice: calligraphy as spiritual architecture, and gold leaf as both ornament and oracle. Gold here symbolizes not luxury, but inheritance, sacred value, and the impossible wish to preserve what time erodes.

THE INSTALLATION

“You come close to meaning. But it flies.”

Alongside the NFT collection, Genesis expands into a physical-digital installation.

Visitors enter a space where their vitals—heat, movement, height, presence—are silently recorded by cameras. These inputs create generative choreography: Arabic letters begin to orbit around the body like living creatures. They flutter like butterflies—alive but unstable—attempting to form phrases, but never quite completing them.

This is the emotional experience of incomplete healing. Of divine messages half-understood. Of truths that dissolve the moment they take shape. The viewer becomes part of the system—and simultaneously, the system’s mirror.

The work asks:

Can language ever fully carry emotion? Can we really name our pain?
And what part of meaning must always remain unsaid?

LIMITED IN LIFETIME

Contemporary Bedouin will never release more than 20 NFTs in his lifetime. Genesis is the first—released with no creator’s fee. Later collections will hold different energies, prices, and rituals.

This is not a market move.
This is a legacy in fragments. A nomadic archive.
A digital sandstorm of meaning that refuses to settle.
